Jade of Hiikawa
As the story goes, Hiikawa, with its rolling waters, had been plaguing locals for a long time, until a powerful priest passed by. Given a fine meal by the locals, he decided to help them in return. The priest gave them a chunk of unprocessed jade. "Drop this into the river, if I'm no match for the great serpent beneath." Local fishermen did as told, as the priest was apparently engaged in a losing battle. Down went the jade, and the raging river of Hiikawa was pacified. Later, locals found an exquisitely crafted jade pendant from deep in the river, in the shape of two serpents entangled in a fierce fight. The craftsmanship was beyond any mortal hand.
